Filmpje van de dag: requiem voor een krant
Heeft de papieren krant nog toekomst? Het Amerikaanse The Daily Show ging op onderzoek uit. Verslaggever/komediant Jason Jones toog naar het hoofdkwartier van The New York Times, twaalf blocks verwijderd van zijn eigen studio. Executive editor Bill Keller schetst een droevig beeld: "We zijn een van de weinige schepen die nog blijven drijven." Ondanks het treurige vooruitzicht voor de krant (de verliezen zijn gigantisch) maakt Jones er nog een prettig verteerbare, soms hilarische reportage van.
