Om een jonger publiek aan te boren verandert Scrabble de regels. Vanaf nu mogen ook namen van bedrijven en beroemde personen gelegd worden. De Nederlandse Scrabblebond is alvast faliekant tegen (“Vernieuwing mag best, maar dit is een beetje te gek. Dan hadden ze beter een heel nieuw spel kunnen maken”), maar er zijn ook voorstanders.
