‘Ricky Gervais mag Golden Globes nooit meer presenteren’

Nee, dé reden dat de Britse komiek Ricky Gervais de Golden Globes waarschijnlijk nooit meer mag presenteren is een geintje over de Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
“Sommige dingen die hij zei zijn totally onacceptabel,” liet de voorman van de buitenlandsemediaclub Philip Berk weten. “Hij overschreed een grens.”
Berk werd als volgt geïntroduceerd door Gervais: “I just had to help him off the toilet and pop his teeth in.”

Ook suggereerde Gervais dat Berk omkoopbaar is. “I’d like to quash this ridiculous rumor going around that the only reason The Tourist was nominated was so the Hollywood Foreign Press could hang out with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. That is rubbish. That is not the only reason. They also accepted bribes.”
