Twitter Top 17: de Egyptenaren
Toen het regime van Mubarak aan het begin van de Egyptische revolutie besloot de stekker uit het internet te trekken kon John Scott Railton (@jsrailton) niet langer passief toekijken. De Amerikaanse student had door zijn reizen in het land veel Egyptische contacten op internet en besloot de communicatiestop niet zomaar te accepteren. Hij opende de twitteracount jan25voices en werd het Twitter-alternatief voor een groeiende groep Egyptenaren. Inmiddels heeft John al een dikke 700 tweets het land uitgesmokkeld.
