Gouden handel: ‘Obama = Hitler’-snorren
De populariteit van Barack Obama holt achteruit: in een half jaar tijd daalde zijn job approval rating van 65% naar minder dan 50%. Daarmee is hij zelfs minder populair dan George W. Bush na zes maanden in de Oval Office.
De neergaande lijn in de populariteits-poll van Rasmussen is pijnlijk voor de president en komt ongelegen, aangezien hij het steeds moeilijker krijgt om zijn volksgezondheidshervormingen langs het Congres te krijgen.
Komiek Stephen Colbert geniet ondertussen van het feit dat Obama thans in de hoek zit waar de klappen vallen. Hij wrijft nog wat zout in de wonden: “Obama and those who support his policies have not f*cked in weeks.” Ook vraagt Colbert zich af: hoe staat het met de verkoop van de Obama-mokken en posters? Met bijrollen voor Glenn Beck, Adolf Hitler en… de Fatima Elatik van Massachusetts.
