De grootheden in de muziek zingen doorgaans in het Engels. Maar als je echt wil meetellen, zing je natuurlijk ook in het… Duits. Bent u bekend met de tophits Komm gib mir deine Hand en Sie liebt dich, ja ja ja? Of doet Ring Ring, telefonier’ es ist frei u een belletje rinkelen? De zucht naar D-Marken en erkenning in Duitsland sleepte enkele gerenommeerde artiesten over de taalgrens, met vaak genante, maar ook vermakelijk producten tot gevolg.
