De ongeïnspireerde manier waarop Barack Obama de pers te woord stond na zijn midterm defeat is in de VS reden voor een potje Obama-bashing. De op één na machtigste man op aarde oogde volgens de commentatoren achtereenvolgens kreupel, depressief, gechoqueerd en geïrriteerd. Terwijl hij volgens CNN-commentator Kathleen Parker gewoon lachend had móeten zeggen: “God didn’t give me big ears for nothing. I heard ya!” Hoog tijd voor een Mourning After-evaluatie door Jon Stewart, Jason Jones, Wyatt Cenac en John Oliver.
